Bulgarije
Bulgaria, in south-eastern Europe in the Balkans, borders Romania, Serbia, North Macedonia, Greece, Turkey and the Black Sea. Sofia, its capital, has 1.1 million inhabitants. The country is famous for its mountains, including the Rila massif with its highest peak, Musala (2925 m above sea level), as well as its uplands and the Danubian Plain. The temperate continental climate makes spring and summer good times to visit, when temperatures range from 20 to 30°C. Bulgaria is a member of the EU, NATO and the UN.
