Mozambique, located in southeastern Africa, shares borders with six countries, including South Africa and Tanzania. A former Portuguese colony, it gained independence in 1975 and is divided into 11 provinces. The capital, Maputo, serves as the country’s cultural and economic hub. Mozambique offers a vibrant blend of cultures, including Swahili and Bantu influences. Average temperatures range from 20 °C in winter to 30 °C in summer. The best time to visit is from May to November, when the weather is dry and cooler.
