Liberia
Liberia, located in West Africa, shares borders with Guinea, Côte d’Ivoire, and Sierra Leone. The country, the oldest republic on the continent, was founded in 1821 as a settlement for freed slaves from the United States. Low mountains rise in the northeast, while the south is covered by lush tropical rainforest. Average temperatures hover around 21 °C, with a climate marked by distinct dry and rainy seasons. The best time to visit is during the dry season, which lasts from November to April.
